The Eidolon's Aria - A History

by ~adrellach

Before time and space and origin, there was a void that was neither light nor dark, empty nor full, without form and thought and mindfulness. Something stirred in this void and in this void a mind is born, sparkling into new life. This mind is Khaskhreija, the Transcendent. Space and time folded unto itself, and thus Khaskhreija became aware. The beginning of the first existence was him. He was all encompassing and nothing at once, and his thoughts expanded and became cohesive things. Being Everything and Nothing, Khaskhreija became more aware of his impending loneliness and he yearned for companionship.

aurisaethra:

In The Beginning.

There were two planets, spinning forever around the same bright star.

The world of Auris, in its core the gods of Aethra gather to slumber and rest. If Auris were to wither and die, or otherwise be destroyed, it would take Aethra with it.

Likewise, the gods of Auris rest in Aethra’s core, meaning that these two planets are connected at the very seams of their existence, one could never exist without the other.

I never know what I'm doing: I really despise trying to create place names. Personal names are...

I really despise trying to create place names. Personal names are okay, though sometimes irritating, but place names are so tied to language and culture and language creation is the one part of worldbuilding I’m genuinely bad at and uninterested in.

But it must be done, and it’s one of the last…

pretty much, yeah. I’m with you on that.

Eidolons Archive: Locations within Eidolon's Aria

eidolonsarchive:

The story starts near the border of Lekihr and Najict in a Creid outpost. The Creid outpost serves to take care of the wounded Lekihr soldiers, as well as take care of any of the soldiers fallen in battle.

The Creid of the High Seraph’s base is similar to that of Vatican City, within the capitol…

Eidolons Archive: Headworld clusterfuck

eidolonsarchive:

Okay so I need to get some of this stupid headworlding plot business out of my head/notes cause I can’t organize it and see it all for what it is and it’s really distressing and I might need someone to peel through it or soemthing idfk. it’s really repetetive and disorganized but I think I can…

Worldbuilding Wednesday! (Late!)

So, I know it’s late, but I wanted to do a worldbuilding wednesday for my Eidolon’s Aria headworld. Here’s a little in the know about my headworld.

Aoife’s been helping her father who is a sort of archeologist or anthropologist (an artifact expert) research a vessel of unbridled power, called the Eidolon’s Aria. He would write Aoife letters asking for research help through her religions library, and she would write him back on clues and hints as to the location of the library. He eventually found it and was on his way to the sanctum in which his daughter lived, but on the way there he was caught up in a massacre supposedly between Lekihr and Najict. Aeson was injured in the battle very badly, and was taken to the outpost where healers from the sanctum were treating and burying the wounded and dead and dying from the battle. Aoife was preparing for her ceremony to ascend from acolyte to priestess and had heard that there was a civillian in the battle suspiciously of the description of her father carrying a relic. A friend of hers had also been gravely wounded in another battle between Najict and Lekihr, and was recovering in the healing ward of her temple. Aoife had been told of her father’s death as well as having the artifact delivered to her. She had asked whether or not he had a message delivered to her, and they had said that there was a letter wrapped tightly with the relic. Not much had been said about the relic, except that he had found it hidden deep within a ruins in Najict. The messenger had told Aoife that her father spoke only of her as he lay dying, and Aoife’s composure broke down finally to where her she was emotionally and mentally weak. During her moment of emotional and mental dischord, the urn unlocked and the essence held inside took advantage of Aoife and crept into her body and mind. The thing that creeps inside Aoife, asleep.

There’s quite a bit more about my story and such, but hasn’t been coherently written down and I’m quite drunk at the moment. Ask any questions you’d like!
